In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, the canteen at both male and female residential colleges are extending their operation hours for the students to have their “Sahur” dinner. At the Male Residential College the Amsarra Canteen are extending their operation hours until 11:30pm while at the Kayu Nasi Kandar Canteen at the Female Residential College they also extend their operation hours until 2:00am.

UBD Library Opening Hours During Long Vacation

We would like to inform that during the long vacation (15th May to 31 July 2011), the Library will be opened as below:

Monday to Thursday and Saturday : 8.00 am to 4.30 pm 
Friday : 8.00am to 12.15pm and 1.30pm to 4.30pm

Makluman Program Bimbingan Khatam Al-Quran 2011

The Core food court opens to the public

The newly established food court at the UBD new residential college located at the central building or popularly known as “The Core” had recently extended its operation to  public residing at the nearby areas.

Currently they are five operators operating the food court at “The Core”. Since its soft launching few months back the response on the food court especially by UBD and ITB staffs and students at the are overwhelming. The overwhelming response saw the need to open the food court to the public.

According to the UBD new residential college officer Mrs Raianon Hamid said “Since the operators started operations one by one few months back the public response are very overwhelming especially during lunch time. Currently the food courts operators served various food according to their field such as fast food, Indian food, Malay food and beverages”. She also added that currently the UBD management are under progress to expand the “The Core” building usage and not only concentrate on food court but more shops such as souvenir shops and minimart will be open soon.

Currently there are five operators operating their shops namely The Ideal Cafe and Grill, The Ur-Got dessert and snack which is newly established at UBD, Sabra restaurant and catering, Jessamine Restaurant and Cafe and UBD corporation beverages shop

APB readies for exhibition.

Busy scene during the final touch

Academy of Brunei Studies, UBD through its third year students taking the AB3206  Brunei Traditional Industries will held an Traditional Industries of Brunei exhibition 2011. The exhibition will be held starting tommorow (22 April 2011, Friday) until upcoming Sunday (24 April 2011) at the Times Square Shopping Complex.  Scheduled to officiate the exhibition are  Yang Mulia Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Yussof bin Haji Ismail,  Deputy Minister of Education.

The exhibtion will be held from 9am until 9pm from 22 April until 24 April. All are welcome to the exhibiton and it is free of charge.

UBD SAS Solat Hajat and special talk

Universiti Brunei Darussalam Student Affairs Section (UBD SAS) Religious and Spiritual Unit will held a Solat Hajat and special talk in conjunction with the upcoming examination. The event will be held as follows:

Earth Day Support at UBD

In conjunction with the upcoming worldwide Earth Day celebration on the 22 April. Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), the UBD students currently held a special event known as “Pledging To Support Earth Day 2011”. The event was held for two phase where at the first phase will be held  UBD Chancellor Hall from the 16 April until 19 April 2011.

The first phase will saw the supporters write their Earth Day message or pledge on the pieces of leaves which ware prepared by the committee.

Meanwhile, the second phase will be held at the UBD Student Affairs Section (UBD SAS) Multi Purpose Hall on the upcoming 20 April 2011.
