Two undergraduates from Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD) currently undergoing their attachment at the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), Old Airport Road Berakas. The attachment programme is part of the UBD Faculty of Business, Economic and Policy Studies (FBEPS) Work Attachment Programme (WAP). The WAP programme is compulsory for FBEPS third year students.
The two students on attachment at the ACB are Asdina Adenan and Khairil Fadillah Said, both students are the third year FBEPS students. They started their attachment recently and had participated in various ACB community oriented programme such as roadshows and recently the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) 90th anniversary exhibition at The Mall, Gadong where ACB joined as well.
According to Khairil Fadillah said “During the attachment programme we learned many new things such as life at the office environment which we didn’t experience through the lectures. At the same time we also participated along with the ACB personnel in providing support during their roadshows and exhibitions, thus this increase our community binding skills with the public”.
Meanwhile Asdina Adenan said “Such programme had expose me and my friend to the workplace environment. It also at the same time trained us on basic administration skills in order to prepare us once we apply for our job in the future. We are also feel grateful for being chosen for attachment at ACB”
Currently several FBEPS third year students are on the WAP placement at various government and non-government institutions such as the Brunei Fire and Rescue Department (BFRD), BAG networks, Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies (CSPS) as well as other institutions. They are supervised by their lecturers and the officers where they are being attached to.
